What we collect
We collect anonymous usage events to understand how the game is played and to improve it. Events include:
- Visits, games started, answers (correct or wrong), hints shown, game-over results (score, level, reason).
- Settings you change (sound, auto hint, haptics, theme, and this analytics setting), pause use, and share button taps.
- Technical errors in the game, so we can fix them.
The events include the design term you were answering (for example, "wireframe"). These are game content, not personal information.
We do not collect your name, email address, or anything you type beyond the game's answers. We do not record your screen, clicks or keystrokes.
How it works
Analytics uses PostHog, a product analytics service. PostHog gives your browser a random identifier, stored on your device. It is not linked to an account or to your name. PostHog may also receive standard technical details with each event, such as your browser type, screen size and IP address.
Data is processed by PostHog on its EU Cloud servers (eu.i.posthog.com). The game is hosted on Vercel.
Why we use it
To understand which parts of the game people enjoy, where they stop playing, and what breaks, so we can improve the game. We use the least data needed for this.
How long we keep it
Events are kept for 14 days and then deleted.
Your choices
- Turn it off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage data. Nothing more is sent once it's off.
- Or choose Turn off on the notice shown on your first visit.
- Game data stays on your device: your best score, stats and settings are saved in your browser, and clearing site data removes them.
Events already sent are not removed automatically. To ask for deletion of events linked to your random identifier, contact us below.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete data we hold about you, and to object to its use. Contact us to do this.
